SciFinder Scholar: Licence Agreement

Please read the very short Licence Agreement if you do not wish to jeopardize the access to SciFinder Scholar!

You have to click the button "Accept" for the Licence Agreement before you can start your search. But you should be aware of the terms and conditions too.

Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) monitors the SciFinder Scholar usage, especially the number of records downloaded.

According to Paragraph 4) in the Licence Agreement you must not store more than 5000 records at any time. So if you perform many and/or comprehensive searches you have to delete the records exceeding 5000 from your hard drive.

SciFinder Scholar offers several tools to reduce the number of irrelevant records. You will save a lot of time by optimizing your search using these tools. But you will waste your time if you download irrelevant records which you will have to delete later on. I would like to demonstrate the use of these tools so that you can improve your searches.
