Access to Electronic Resources

Are you using databases, electronic journals or e-books on the library computers, on campus, or at home?

If you are using one of the computer workstations in the Central Library or in the Departmental Libraries, you should be able to access our licensed electronic resources. If you have problems accessing them, you can find information and instructions on our web page Internet workstations - Technical assistance and registration.
Further information on accessing our licensed electronic resources in other buildings on campus or at home can be found on our web page Access to licensed electronic resources.

Is your computer really in the campus network?

Access authorisation for licensed databases, electronic journals and e-books is usually granted after an IP check (check of your network address).
If you want to access electronic resources from off campus, you can use the Virtual Private Network (VPN) of TU Dortmund.
Students of co-operating universities (e.g. of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund) and external users cannot access our licensed electronic resources from outside.

Our IP check has shown that the IP address of your computer is 38.107.179.238 and thus is not logged on to the TU TU Dortmund network.
