The current issues of newspapers held at the Central Library are kept on display at the pillar in the journal reading room on the ground floor. Older issues are shelved alphabetically in the boxes. Issues which are older than two weeks are thrown away or given to users.

Daily and weekly newspapers held at the Emil-Figge-Bibliothek (EFB) are usually kept for 2-4 weeks and then disposed of. Please contact our staff for individual arrangements.

Other newspapers (and older issues of newspapers) are held at the Institut für Zeitungsforschung housed in the Stadt- und Landesbibliothek Dortmund.
