Monday - Friday: 8am - 8pm
Saturday: 9am - 4pm


Loan periods (short-term loan):

  • short-term loan over night
  • return: on the following weekday
  • loan on Friday: return on Monday

Loan periods for staff

  • 182 days - Please note: professors, academic and art staff of TU Dortmund are entitled to borrow items from the Departmental Libraries up to 182 days to be used in their offices. If these items are needed by another user or for revision purposes, they have to be returned immediately on the library's request. Users have to make sure that during their absence, items kept in their offices are accessible to authorised agents in case they must be returned.

  • Secondhand library book sale
  • Handing out and taking back keycards for lockers for study material
  • Payment by cash card or charged card
  • Guided tours by request
